The Circles of Safety and Support tool was developed early in 2010 as part of my safety planning work with families in Western Australia and is based on ideas drawn from the Resolutions Approach for working with 'denied' child abuse (Turnell and Essex, 2006) and the relationship circles concept from the Protective Behaviours program.
